One of Hollywood’s most talked about marriages has broken up. Angelina Jolie (41 years old) has filed for divorce from her husband Brad Pitt (52 years old), a reliable source confirmed to CNN.

Previously, information about Angelina Jolie filing for divorce from Brad Pitt was reported by news site TMZ.

Pitt and Jolie got married in 2014. Their relationship became a media sensation in 2004, when they starred in the film Mr. &Mrs. Smith – the movie was a big success in terms of revenue (478 million USD). At the time, Pitt was married to actress Jennifer Aniston.

In January 2005, Pitt and Aniston announced they were separating and Aniston filed for divorce a few months later.

In April 2004, a photo of Pitt, Jolie and her adopted son Maddox in Kenya was released.

Jolie later adopted daughter Zahara from Ethiopia. In early 2006, she announced that she and Pitt were expecting a child together. Soon after, Pitt was granted legal custody of Maddox and Zahara.

Their daughter Shiloh was born in May 2006. Next, Pax’s son was adopted from Vietnam in March 2007. Jolie gave birth to twins Vivienne and Knox in July 2008.

The couple announced their official wedding in August 2014. For Jolie, this is her third wedding. Jolie’s two past husbands are actors Jonny Lee Miller (after filming together in 1996) and Billy Bob Thornton (after filming Pushing News together in 1999).

According to information obtained by TMZ , Jolie proactively filed the petition on September 19 after feeling that there were irreconcilable disagreements between her and Brad Pitt in raising their children, mainly how to raise them. Pitt’s actions made Jolie unhappy.

During more than a decade of passionate love, Pitt and Jolie have three biological children including Shiloh – 10 years old, twins Knox and Vivienne – 8 years old and three children that Jolie adopted from other countries (Maddox – 15 years old). years old, Zahara – 11 years old and Pax Thien – 12 years old).

In the court application, the actress demanded the right to raise all 6 children, allowing only Pitt the right to visit the children.

Jolie and Pitt co-starred in the most recent film,  By the Sea – the opening film of the AFI Film Festival in 2015, but when it was widely released, it failed miserably in terms of revenue (only 3.3 million USD). This film was written and directed by Jolie. Before that, Jolie directed the film  Unbroken in 2014.

In recent years, Jolie participated in  Kung Fu Panda 3 (voice) as well as had an impressive role in  Maleficent.

Pitt recently appeared in the movie  The Big Short – a film in which he was a producer.

In 2015, Jolie confided to the Telegraph on the occasion of the movie  By the Sea ‘s release: “Pitt and I have our own problems, but if the characters in our movie had similar hidden memories, we probably wouldn’t be able to close together”.

“To be fair, we both went through troubles like any couple, when we drove like crazy together to relieve the tension… But in the movie, that’s not actually what we look like. My marriage with Pitt”.

In April 2016, news of the Hollywood couple’s breakup and divorce spread across the tabloids. However, the rumors did not receive any official response from Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. Everything calmed down until today when Jolie officially filed for divorce in court.
