In a new interview with Du Jour magazine, Angelina Jolie suddenly said she is no longer interested in acting. This star also affirmed that she “fully intended” to retire and that it was only a matter of time.
2014 was a special year for Jolie, when she officially married actor Brad Pitt after many years of marriage. This star also played the main role in the blockbuster “Maleficent,” which has currently reached a revenue of 757 million USD globally. But even though she is one of the most famous and beloved stars in the world, Jolie still wants to give it all up.
She explained to the magazine: “I never felt comfortable as an actress. I also never loved the feeling of being in front of the camera. I never thought I could be a director, but I hope I can succeed in this role because it makes me feel much happier.”
She also shared about “By the Sea,” the movie that she both directed and starred in alongside her husband Brad Pitt: “The most difficult thing was directing myself and Brad. It was a movie.” The film is heavy and not easy for us. But we are challenging each other and that is a good thing.”
Before Jolie officially retires, she will still participate in a number of projects. Currently, this star has agreed to contribute his voice in the sequel to the animated film “Kungfu Panda” and will likely participate in the sequel to the action film “Salt” (2010)
