West Ham United forward Michail Antonio has hinted at a scenario where Arsenal could secure their first Premier League title in two decades—with a crucial assist from his own team. However, this assistance comes with a condition.
Arsenal are in a tight competition with Manchester City, widely regarded as the frontrunners to claim the title once again. With just three matches remaining, Arsenal lead the table, closely pursued by Pep Guardiola’s City, trailing by a single point with a game in hand.
The upcoming fixtures paint a tense picture for both teams. Arsenal’s schedule includes a home game against AFC Bournemouth, followed by an away trip to Manchester United, and concluding with a home fixture against Everton. Meanwhile, Manchester City will face Wolves at the Etihad, travel to Fulham and Tottenham, before wrapping up their campaign against West Ham at home.

Antonio, speaking on the Footballer’s Football Podcast, expressed his belief that Arsenal could emerge victorious in the title race, but only if the competition extends to the final day. He cited West Ham’s own ambitions, stating that they are “trying to get into Europe,” as a motivating factor that could propel them to defeat City in the final fixture.
“I wouldn’t call them (Arsenal) bottlejobs if they lose this title, I wouldn’t. If it goes down to the last day, I reckon Arsenal wins it. Last game of the season, we have something to play for as well, we’re trying to get into Europe, Man City away.”
Despite West Ham’s previous loss to City earlier in the season and Arsenal’s dominant victory over the Hammers in February, Antonio’s optimism remains undiminished. West Ham, under the management of David Moyes, currently sit eighth in the table, with aspirations of securing a European qualification spot.
Whether Antonio’s prediction comes to fruition remains to be seen, but the prospect of West Ham potentially influencing the outcome adds an intriguing layer to the narrative
