Now that’s a bad hair day! Not even designer labels can distract from Emma Watson’s lifeless locks

She spends much of her time looking glamorous on the red carpet but even Emma Watson has her off days.

The Harry Potter actress was a far cry from her usual stylish self when she stepped out with limp, lifeless hair on Thursday in London.

The 22-year-old appeared to be in a hurry as she dashed into an art supply store wearing wrinkled clothes and no make-up.

Dressed down: Emma Watson appeared to have just rolled out of bed on Thursday when she walked to an art store in London

She carried a large Chanel handbag but not even the flash designer purse could rescue Emma’s unflattering ensemble which consisted of cropped blue trousers, a flowered black, yellow and green top wrap over a black top and pink espadrilles.

She had her pulled back into a messy ponytail and appeared carefree.

Limp locks: The star’s flashy Chanel handbag could not hide the fact that her hair appeared in need of a good wash

Despite her low key ensemble, the eight Harry Potter films earned Emma a whopping £10million – making her wealthy beyond her dreams.

She has also branched out into modelling and fashion design, collaborating on an fair trade clothing collection with People Tree.

A quick bite: Emma grabbed something to eat while she was in the store

But the star has remained grounded and plans to return to the United States to complete her degree at Ivy League Brown University in Rhode Island after a brief stint at Oxford University.

Last month, she revealed on her official website that her mum’s advised her to keep her private life private.

Cheeky: Emma played along and made faces for the camera

Answering a question posed by a fan, Emma wrote: ‘My mum said to me very early on in my career, ‘Never give anyone information that you aren’t comfortable discussing at any time, anywhere and with anyone – once you open the door on a subject it’s very difficult to close it.’

‘That is very true and I am a very private person. It’s not always easy to follow but I try to keep it in mind.’

Emma currently has five films in production and is rumoured to be close to inking a deal to star in the film adaptation of Fifty Shades of Grey.
