Mason Mount spotted modelling England’s Euro 2024 kit, hinting first recall despite not playing since 2022

Mason Mount has hinted at a surprise call-up to the England team.

The Manchester United star has not represented the Three Lions since 2022.

Mount, 25, last appeared for England in the World Cup quarter-finals, as they were defeated 2-1 by France in Qatar.

However, he could be returning to Gareth Southgate’s side for Euro 2024.

During a photoshoot, the midfielder modelled England’s new away kit.

The photograph was captured by Lionesses star Ella Toone while recording a video for her YouTube channel.

Mount has struggled since his £60 million transfer to Manchester United from Chelsea last summer.

He recently missed 15 Premier League games due to calf injury.

The midfielder returned from the treatment table in the 1-1 draw against Brentford.

It appeared like a storybook comeback when he scored in the 96th minute, possibly handing Man United the victory.

However, Kristoffer Ajer’s goal late in the game prevented Mount from winning the match.

Manager Erik ten Hag claimed after the game that he was “pleased” with Mount’s goal.

The Dutchman went on to say: “I am very pleased for Mason [Mount] but I also feel sorry for him as it should have been the winner.”

Mount has plenty of experience playing for England, having earned 36 caps since debuting in September 2019.

Southgate’s call-up to the team is doubtful given his little playing time this season.

Mount’s chances may improve if he maintains his form after scoring against the Bees.
