But Saliba was disappointed not to leave Manchester with all three points, telling Sky Sports: “ We can’t be satisfied with a draw, but that’s okay. We learn from matches like this. When we can’t win against a top club, a draw isn’t too bad
That’s what we did well. We left with a point but we were not satisfied. We knew they were the best team in the world, we were focused throughout the match. We did well. We didn’t score but we were happy. Gabriel Magalhaes is very good. He helps me a lot. Not only him but the whole team tried their best.
When we lost the ball, everyone was active to win the ball back. I thought we all defended well and that was good. We have to continue like this.”
Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes were praised by expert Micah Richards after the match, especially for keeping Erling Haaland from scoring.
