Kendall Jenner recalls putting ‘walls up’ after middle school friends began asking to ‘come over’ to appear on her family reality show

Kendall Jenner revealed she began putting ‘walls up’ with friends after some of her classmates would ask to ‘come over’ to appear on her family reality show.

After becoming a household name following the premiere of Keeping Up With The Kardashians in 2007, the supermodel, 26, recalled struggling to adjust to life in the spotlight at such a young age.

‘When it comes to like friends being on the show it went back a really long time to when I was in middle show and the show had just started and like friends at school were a little sus,’ she said in a new teaser for Thursday’s episode of The Kardashians.

She went on to explain that her peers ‘just wanted to come over to be on’ Keeping Up With The Kardashians, or ‘something like that.’

The reality star said the experience caused her to become guarded, after noting she was already ‘uncomfortable’ inviting friends to come on the show since it seemed ‘kind of weird’ to her.

The clip went on to show her on her sister Kylie’s plane with longtime pal Hailey Bieber as she joked they are ‘the only ones that hang on’ because when they ‘make commitments’ they ‘mean it.’

During an interview on Beats 1 radio show, ZAZA WORLD RADIO, back in 2018, Jenner talked about feeling lonely during her childhood.

‘I remember there was a time when I was in middle school, even high school a little bit, I didn’t have that many friends,’ the 818 Tequila founder revealed in a vulnerable chat.

She continued: ‘I was sitting in my room a lot of days crying because [sister] Kylie had so many friends, and I didn’t know what to do, and it’s gonna make me emotional right now.’

At her lowest, she remembers thinking she would ‘never’ have any friends, unlike her younger sibling, who she says always had plenty of pals.

‘I really never thought that I would have more friends than Kylie, not that that’s ever a competition or should be anything we’d — I don’t want that to come off weird, but again, she’s so happy with the life she’s living,’ the catwalk queen, who is often seen spending tine with her longtime friends like Fai Khadra and Bieber, said.

On an episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, Kendall looked back at having ‘nothing to do’ so she would ‘ride [her horse] all day.’

As a public figure, she noted that her support system, including mom Kris Jenner and siblings, has helped her navigate fame and ‘not care about’ negative comments.

In addition to being wary about featuring friends on her reality shows, Keeping Up With The Kardashians executive producer, Farnaz Farjam, revealed she had a rule about not letting any of her former partners appear on the show until they’d been together for ‘at least a year.’

Farnaz Farjam told Bravo’s The Daily Dish podcast: ‘Kendall’s always had this rule – she felt like she had to be with someone for at least a year before she let them be a part of the show, because she doesn’t always know what people’s intentions are.

In the clip, Khloe Kardashian, who had just recently learned that her ex Tristan Thompson fathered another child during their relationship, admitted she was having a ‘hard time’ getting out of her funk.

Meanwhile Kourtney Kardashian teased the cameras by revealing she managed to walk down the aisle with husband Travis Barker at a Las Vegas chapel.
