The princess of the Harry Potter world has not landed a real-life royal, it seems
Minds were blown several days ago with the mother of all royal rumors surfaced: That Emma Watson, princess of the Harry Potter world, was dating a real-life prince, Prince Harry of the United Kingdom.
The popular 24-year-old British actress, who played smart, sassy and independent Hermione Granger in the hit film series, took to Twitter on Sunday to post what appears to be a denial of the reports, including with her tweet a red heart emoji.
“WORLD ♥ Remember that little talk we had about not believing everything written in the media?!” she said.
Harry, 30, has not commented.
Watson is an advocate of the HeForShe campaign and serves as a U.N. Women Goodwill Ambassador. She had spoken about feminism and gender equality in a powerful, emotional speech at the United Nations last September.
Days later, the official Twitter page of the HeForShe campaign featured a tweet with a photo of Harry and a pro-gender equality quote he had made while speaking in a video recorded for a 2013 concert to promote the CHIME for Change campaign. Beyoncé and Salma Hayek co-founded the initiative, which promotes “Education, health and justice for every girl. Every woman. Everywhere.”
While Watson and Harry have never been spotted together, she did chat with his older brother, Prince William, 32, at a dinner he hosted to celebrate the work of The Royal Marsden in Windsor, England on May 13, 2014.

Harry was last year linked romantically to Camilla Thurlow. They never confirmed a relationship publicly.
In 2014, Watson dated Matthew Janney, an Oxford University student. E! News learned in December that the two had broken up. They have not commented. Watson has always been notoriously private about her personal life.
Following her apparent denial tweet, Watson said on her Twitter page on Saturday, “Also….. marrying a Prince not a prerequisite for being a Princess,” and linked to a video of a scene from Alfonso Cuarón‘s 1995 film A Little Princess.
