Lady Gaga towers in platform boots while draping herself in a fuzzy black dress in stunning new photos

Lady Gaga put on an elegant display in a new set of photos she shared to her Instagram account on Friday.

The 37-year-old singer–turned–actress elevated her 5ft1in stature in the stark images by stepping into a set of towering black platform boots, which she paired with an enveloping black dress.

Her outfit was a significant departure from the edgy leather biker jacket she displayed while out shopping in her pricy Tesla Cybertruck days earlier.

Gaga (born Stefani Germanotta) covered up with the voluminous black dress, which had a high collar and made her appear to have broad, rounded shoulders.

The fuzzy sweater dress’ long, baggy sleeves reached down far enough to nearly swallow up her hands, and its maxi skirt reached down past her ankles.

The hitmaker wore her platinum-dyed hair styled in waves that cascaded down her back, and she parted it down the middle.

The swept back look put the spotlight on her impeccably made-up face, and she added just a hint of color to the muted photos with her pale pink lips.

She didn’t add any context or tags to the photoset, and she merely captioned the post with a camera emoji and a black heart.

Later on Friday she posted a pair of playful selfies in which she was also dressed in black.

She bared her teeth in an amused expression while staring into the camera in one photo, which she captioned, ‘Hi hi hi.’

The Oscar winner flashed a winning smile while squinting and scrunching up her face in the follow-up, which she decorated with a black heart.

Gaga has been favoring all-black ensembles in recent weeks as she has given her fans brief glimpses into the recording of new music.

In January, she posted some behind-the-scenes photos of herself in a recording studio, suggesting that she might be at work on new music.

The Poker Face singer confirmed she was making new music with photos from later in February showing her in a variety of casual black T-shirts as she played a piano and strummed a guitar.

‘No I’m not making a rock album,’ she clarified on Valentine’s Day while posting a photo of herself playing a guitar in the studio

‘No I’m not making a rock album,’ she clarified in the caption of her guitar photo, though she hasn’t revealed any details about what her new music sounds like.

Gaga has plenty of time to work on new songs now after wrapping up shooting on her highly anticipated sequel Joker: Folie à Deux in April of last year.

Last month, Variety reported that she was paid $12 million to star in the film as Dr. Harleen Quinzel, a.k.a. Harley Quinn.

Her costar Joaquin Phoenix will reportedly be earning $20 million, up from a $4.5 million payday for the first film, which earned over $1 billion.
