Angelina Jolie revealed the reason for adopting her Vietnamese son Pax Thien

In her latest interview with Vogue (India), Angelina Jolie shared a lot about life with her children. In particular, the Hollywood actress attracted attention when revealing the reason for adopting Pax Thien from Vietnam.

Angelina Jolie shared her experiences during her two decades working with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees and her journey in adopting her three children: Maddox, Pax and Zahara.

The fact that the star of the movie Pursuit adopted Maddox and Pax Thien from two neighboring countries made many people wonder. The mother of 6 children said she had thought about this issue. “Initially, I had no intention of adopting a child from Vietnam because Maddox is Cambodian and the two countries have a complicated history. Then, I accidentally read a book about human rights and realized I was staring at the image of a Vietnamese soldier imprisoned by the Americans. I was thinking about my country and America’s intervention in Southeast Asia. I think we should focus on a future where we are all family. I am so lucky to be their mother. I’m grateful for that every day,” the Dark Fairy actress shared the profound reason why she decided to adopt Pax Thien.

Because she adopted Maddox (left) from Cambodia, the star born in 1975 does not want to have any more Vietnamese adopted children. But in the end, the photo of the Vietnamese soldier made her change her mind and adopt Pax Thien.

Angelina Jolie said she appreciates the culture and land where her adopted children were born. The Tomb Robber star always creates conditions for Pax Thien as well as the boy’s two other adopted brothers to learn about their origins. “The three adopted children each carry within them a beautiful mystery about the world into which they were born. You come from another race, another land, which is a complete gift. Children will never lose their connection to their birthplace. They have their own roots that you need to respect and learn from. The children are not entering my world, but we are entering each other’s world,” Brad Pitt’s ex-wife expressed.

Talking about how to maintain a healthy environment for her children after divorce, Angelina Jolie said: “I focus on healing the spirit of my children. Some people took advantage of my silence and my children also saw lies about them in the media but I reminded my children that we know what the truth is and we are also the ones who know ourselves. best. In fact, my children are strong and brave children.” The actress also added that she broke up with Brad Pitt for the sake of family happiness and that it was the right decision.
