Recently, archaeologists unearthed a set of remains suspected to be a vampire whose heart was punctured by an iron bar.
This set of remains was excavated in a monastery near
the city of Sozopol (Black Sea, Bulgaria).
It was a skeleton suspected to be a vampire whose heart was pierced by an iron bar.
Not only that, all the teeth of one of the two skeletons had been extracted.
Archaeologists believe that this was a practice from the Middle Ages.
This practice is intended to prevent dead people suspected of being vampires from coming back to life.
This phenomenon shows that the ancients wanted to eliminate the ability
of the “vampire” to bite and suck blood if it came back to life.
One of the “vampire” remains on display
at the National History Museum in Bulgaria.
There were many scientific researchers and curious tourists who came to see the remains.
However, these are still extremely valuable discoveries of
archaeologists for scientific research.
