Wayne Rooney is returning to his family in England. His £20 million ‘Morrisons house’, complete with a movie theatre, two fishing lakes, a full-sized football pitch and a pool, will be his place of residence.
Birmingham City has selected the iconic player for both Manchester United and England as their next manager. He succeeds the fired John Eustace at St. Andrews.
Wayne, Coleen, and the other members of the Rooney family moved into their ideal home in 2021.
When it was being constructed, their £20 million Cheshire residence was dubbed the “Morrisons mansion.”
Situated on forty acres, the mansion features a swimming pool, two lakes for fishing, and a movie theatre.
It’s estimated that Rooney spent almost £4 million to a Cheshire real estate developer to have the gated residence constructed (!).
Kai, Klay, Kit, and Cass, along with their mother, remained in England with their father Coleen and their four sons. He and his coaching crew were residing in Washington.
He will, however, have all the support he needs from his family when he returns home to live with them full-time at their opulent Cheshire home after joining the Blues, who are led by Tom Brady.
The two women, Rooney (37), and Coleen (37), own a large amount of land. They own properties in the UK, in the Caribbean, and in Florida.
However, the icing on the cake is their opulent £20 million six-bedroom mansion situated on 40 acres of land.
The family moved in December 2021, having had it completely rebuilt.
It’s said to be in Cheshire and goes by the name of High Lake Manor.
One could even argue that Rooney and his associate are the head of the household.
When the property was still under construction, as we previously mentioned, United’s all-time leading scorer had a full-size football pitch constructed there with benches.
Even though the five-a-side field includes showers for changing, he was unable to install floodlights because his residence is located in a remote area.
In addition, he has two artificial lakes for fishing, a movie theatre, a swimming pool, and a garage for his vehicles.
.
People believe that Rooney is an avid fisherman.
The house’s size and shape used to be ridiculed by the neighbours, who claimed it resembled a Morrisons supermarket.
It no longer has a Morrisons, though, and instead features a movie theatre, wine shop, TV lounge, orangery, and snooker room.
Rooney’s opulent mansion also features a steam room, a large indoor pool encircled by a glass pavilion, a hot tub, and separate changing areas for “him” and “her.”
In addition, it features a sizable terrace, perfectly manicured gardens, and a garage for expensive vehicles.
The home features separate lifts and a guest bathroom. It is believed that Rooney paid a Cheshire developer more than £4 million to have it constructed.
A second lift connects the main level to the basement, which houses a large movie theatre, pool, Jacuzzi and gym.
In 2016, burglars attempted to break into Rooney’s Cheshire home, but they were apprehended by the police.
They decided to construct their ideal home as a result.
However, the former striker was raised in a Liverpool public house. His enormous Barbados mansion, which he rents out for £25,000 a week, is proof of his prowess in real estate.
He spent a lot of money in 2007. For £320,000, he purchased a waterfront apartment in Florida, and for £450,000, he purchased a second house for his parents in Liverpool.
Having met when they were 16 years old, he and Coleen, who are estimated to be worth over £115 million, now own residences all over the world.
Rooney advanced fast through the ranks at his previous team, Everton, before making a big-money transfer to Manchester United. During Euro 2004, he performed admirably for England as well.
While playing under Sir Alex Ferguson, he was the recipient of five Premier League and Champions League championships.
When it came to the most goals scored for Manchester United and England, Rooney surpassed Sir Bobby Charlton’s record.
He now holds the records for both clubs and nations, but Harry Kane has surpassed Charlton.
For the first time since his injury in 2017, he returned to Everton, where he finished the season as their top scorer. He later signed an MLS contract with DC United.
In 48 appearances for the American club, he scored 23 goals. However, in an unexpected turn of events, he returned to England to play in the Championship for Derby County in 2020–21.
The youngsters can play on the property’s full-sized five-a-side pitch (!).
Rooney has been living apart from his family in the US while managing DC United.
The home features a swimming pool, a movie theatre, and a garage for his vehicles.
When this structural fissure appeared, the £20 million estate was referred to as a “Morrisons mansion.”
It resembled the façade of a grocery shop, according to fans.
The lower floor has a large movie theatre, pool, and Jacuzzi.
