Spanish journalist went against Shakira for her new album; he referred to songs about Piqué. “Doesn’t she know how to deal with another topic?”

Since 2022, Shakira returned to the music industry and threw herself into the ring presenting new songs that would make millions of people sing. Little by little, the Barranquilla woman captivated with her artistic resurgence, releasing proposals such as Monotonía, Te congratulations and the BZRP Music Session # 53, which allowed her to detail the personal process she was experiencing.Although these launches placed her as one of the most talked about celebrities today, one piece of news stole the attention of curious people on digital platforms. It was the announcement of her new album, which would compile the songs that were already known and add others that were in production.

Shakira turned to her official Instagram account to present this project, which would be called Women No Longer Cry and would have a quite particular aesthetic. The pop star will land this proposal on March 22, offering three different versions of the album.

This step that he took professionally was exact to give a new look at her creative mind, which had led her to position herself as one of the strongest Latin American references in the world. Each song would take on relevance in the Colombian’s career, as happened until a few months ago when she presented Copa Vaca, with Manuel Turizo.

However, not everyone was happy with this news, as the Spanish press began to criticize the fact that the Barranquilla native created a production focused on these personal and intimate themes. Several journalists were dissatisfied with the announcement, criticizing the artist’s decision to create an album.

According to what could be seen, Xavier Sardá, a member of Telecinco’s TardeAR, rejected Shakira’s professional paths and pointed out that they only focused on criticizing Piqué, the Latina’s ex-partner. The communicator questioned the singer, stating that if those musical themes came from a man, she would be classified as sexist.

“It’s a broken record. Don’t know how to discuss another topic? A guy does this and they call him an unpresentable sexist,” he said.

His colleagues refuted the assessments he gave, pointing out that the celebrity was not doing this for the former soccer player, but rather for the monetization he could get out of the bad moment he experienced in the past. The journalist did not like these words, so he said: “Are you telling me that she is not resentful, but that she is a pesetera (person who gives importance to money)? Come on!”.
