Marcus Rashford shouted as he responded to criticism with a 25-meter cannon shot in the Manchester derby.
Rashford’s performances for Manchester United have been questioned this season amid antics on and off the field, but the England international has the best possible response.
It was a 25m long shot against Man City at Etihad Stadium in the 7th minute , thereby helping MU take an early 1-0 lead. The star born in 1997 silenced rival fans in the strongest way possible.
Speaking on Sky Sports, MU legend Gary Neville said: “That’s the best way to respond to everyone, putting the ball into the net from 25 meters away.”
This is Rashford’s sixth goal in the Manchester derby. Previously, the striker spoke out about his criticism in an article in The Players’ Tribune, amid questions about his behavior and attitude at Manchester United this season:
“I promise you, the world has never seen the best of Man United and the players here. We want to get back to playing in the Champions League , then there will be a big international tournament at the end of the season.”
“We’ll get back to where we belong. It’s all about keeping working and that starts with me. If you support me then good. If you doubt me then even better.”
