Ronaldo sent a warning to his opponents on the return to the Champions League

Cristiano Ronaldo sent a ‘be ready’ warning to his opponents before the AFC Champions League quarter-final match between Al-Nassr and Al Ain.

Cristiano Ronaldo sent a warning to Al-Nassr’s opponent in the AFC Champions League quarterfinals, Al Ain, as he prepares to return from suspension.

Ronaldo was banned for one match and fined 30,000 Saudi Riyals (£6,300) for inappropriate gestures towards Al-Shabab fans on February 25. Al-Nassr won the match 3-2, but the result was overshadowed by Ronaldo’s controversial reaction to the crowd chanting Lionel Messi’s name. Ronaldo was suspended from playing in the match against Al-Hazm in round 22 of the Saudi Pro League.

To show his determination to return, Ronaldo posted a separate post on his personal Instagram page with the caption “Ready for tomorrow” . (Temporarily translated: Ready for tomorrow). Ronaldo showed his eagerness to return to the field to continue increasing his record of 34 goals in all competitions in the 2023-24 season.

Al-Nassr could only get a 4-4 draw against Al-Hazm in Ronaldo’s absence, which left them nine points behind leaders Al-Hilal in the race for the Saudi Pro League title. Ronaldo appeared in the stands at Al-Awwal Park and appeared emotional when the theater audience sang his name during the match. Coming back and scoring is the best way for Ronaldo to repay the trust of the fans.

A victory is definitely the goal Cristiano Ronaldo is aiming for. The Portuguese star was once the king in European C1. Surely Ronaldo will want to continue that brand in Asian C1. Ronaldo and Al-Nassr will hope to create an advantage in the away leg when they meet UAE giants Al Ain at 11:00 p.m. today (March 4), with the home leg scheduled to take place on March 12.
