It has been reported that Beyoncé, her husband Jay-Z, and their children spent their 42nd birthday at a villa on a private island that cost $20,000 per night.
Mermaid Bay, an opulent cluster of villas situated within the ultra-opulent private French Polynesia resort The Brando, was rented by the 53-year-old rapper spouse of the “Cuff It” singer, according to sources who spoke to TMZ in an article published on Thursday. Beyoncé’s family and retinue reportedly arrived at the residence last Tuesday and remained there until at least Friday, as reported by insiders. Reportedly, Beyoncé, Jay-Z, and their three children—Blue Ivy, 11, and Rumi and Sir, 6-year-old twins—remain in the primary residence, which rates approximately $20,000 per night.

The resort’s website lists four bedrooms, a complete kitchen, a living room, a private deck, a private pool, an outdoor dining area, and a private dedicated butler as the luxurious accommodations. In the interim, the visitors of the duo resided in the remaining ten villas, each of which featured a private pool and featured one to three bedrooms. The website describes the villa experience as “a new definition of privacy” and emphasizes that each residence is constructed sustainably using “natural and contemporary materials.”
