After this video was posted on social networks, many fans expressed anger at the Portuguese superstar’s offensive behavior. They spoke out against and demanded punishment for the striker born in 1985.

The disciplinary committee of the Saudi Arabia Football Federation received C. Ronaldo’s report and officially announced the punishment on the evening of February 28. The Portuguese star was suspended for one match and had to pay a fine of nearly 2,700 USD.
Al Nassr Club will also have to pay nearly 5,400 USD to Al Shabab for complaint fees. Neither Ronaldo nor Al Nassr have the right to appeal this penalty, which means CR7 will definitely have to retire from the match against Al Hazm in round 22 of the Saudi League tonight, February 29.

In February 2024, also in the match against Al Hilal, the striker grabbed a fan’s scarf and threw it on the ground, then stuffed it into his pants before entering the tunnel. On both occasions, the Saudi Arabia Football Federation did not impose any penalty on the 39-year-old player.
