There’s nothing “Wicked” about this sweet look.
Ariana Grande looked ready for spring in a blooming 3D floral dress as she promoted her highly anticipated new movie, “Wicked” in a new Instagram post on Thursday.
“the prettiest flower” the 30-year-old pop star captioned a series of photos from recent weeks, including two snaps of her incredible Oscar de la Renta piece, which featured hand-embroidered poppies in shades of pink and red arranged to form a minidress.
The “Yes, and?” singer wore her blond hair in a half-up style, accenting her features with glossy pink lips and full lashes, channeling her character, Glinda the Good Witch.
And she didn’t forget her ruby slippers, adding a pair of red pumps as she posed next to a trailer.
While it’s unknown where exactly she wore the pretty poppy look, Oscar de la Renta noted it was “for the #WickedMovie global press tour” in an Instagram post showcasing Grande wearing the dress.
The brand also shared a behind-the-scenes look at how its team created the stunning piece, which hails from the spring 2024 collection.
In the photos, white-coated seamstresses can be seen hand-placing and sewing the 3D flowers and leaves on a nude-colored sleeveless dress.
Another post shows the flowers sketched on paper before taking their final embroidered form, with a model showing off the final look as the elements are fine-tuned on her body.
Grande’s Instagram followers were loving the floral look, like hairstylist Chris Appleton, who wrote, “Bella ❤.”
“call me dorothy because those flowers are going to make me pass out” a fan added, while another wrote, “calling @rupaulofficial to let her know that this your submission for the “i can buy myself flowers” runway!!!! top toot!!!!!!”
The “Positions” singer also posted a video with “Wicked” co-star Cynthia Erivo as they sported glimmering sequined jerseys that spelled out their characters’ names at the Super Bowl earlier this month.
There’s sure to be plenty more fashion-forward looks from this double-threat as her new album, “Eternal Sunshine,” comes out March 8 ahead of the November 27 “Wicked” release.
