Humanity is slowly dying, is a reality that’s now gradually dawning upon us. But, all hope is not lost – not yet. There is no dearth of people who are willing to go that extra mile to save animals. Whether its elephants falling into trenches or dogs being killed for their meat.
In a fresh incident, a group of rangers rescued a baby elephant from a canal that it had fallen into and got separated from its mother. Losing no time, the rescuers got to work determined to save the life of the innocent animal.

The incident took place in Ooty in Tamil Nadu. Forest rangers pulled the calf out and tried to push it towards the direction where its worried mother waited. However, the emaciated animal kept returning to its rescuers instead.
Seeing no other choice, the rangers carried the calf on their shoulders to its mother. “The forest department team safely pulled baby out of the trench. A member of the rescue team carried it on his should to return it to its mother,” said a bystander, reported SWNS.
Amid the several stories of animal cruelty we come across, this one celebrates the spirit of the human heart which is loving, compassionate and most importantly, not stripped of humanity. As long as we have such people, there’s still a lot of hope for all of us.
