SUPPORTIVE EX-WIFE
North West was seen with her parents at Nobu after shooting her music video with Kanye.
KIM Kardashian showed up to Kanye West’s music video shoot in Los Angeles as their daughter and her friends starred in the promo, which the 10-year-old directed herself.
The Skims founder and her controversial ex-husband Kanye haven’t always found co-parenting easy, but a source told The U.S. Sun they have managed to work through their differences recently.
Kanye, who has legal joint custody, previously hit out at Kim on social media claiming she was keeping their four kids from him, which she has always strongly denied.
After traveling for months with his new wife Bianca Censori, the rapper, also known as Ye, has been seeing his children almost every day – even when Kim is there.
Photographs this week showed Kim and Kanye together with North and her tween friends at Nobu in Malibu with her group wearing oversized shirts promoting his upcoming album Vultures.
Although it was reported the group was having a school party, an insider told The U.S. Sun they came from shooting a music video at an office in Calabasas, California.
“Kim has been very supportive of North being involved with her dad’s new music, and she was totally on board with her shooting a video with him this week,” they said.
“Kim even showed up to the filming at his Calabasas office before heading to Nobu with Ye, North, and her little friends who are also in the promo.
“North had planned it all out with her dad and created her own storyboard, and Kim knows how much she loves being involved in the creative process.”
Late last month, Kanye shared a now-deleted clip on Instagram of his young daughter narrating scenes for her music video and navigating a storyboard.
Print photos were taped on a white wall under sections labeled scenes.
Beginning in numerical order, North began delving into what would happen in each scene.
She explained that she would be “in my Lamborghini, driving to basketball practice, and I’m driving in the front seat, and I’m just by myself.”
The board also showed scenes where North would be wearing Vulture’s merchandise with all of her friends, having dinner at Nobu, and seeing the paparazzi.
When the day came, North also had her cousin Penelope Disick, 11, join the fun for the shoot.
Kanye previously had North join him on stage to rap a verse in one of his new songs during a listening party in Miami.
North’s debuted her rap feature on a track believed to be called Bless Me, on the new album, where she says, “It’s your bestie, Miss Miss Westie/ Don’t try to test me/ It’s gonna get messy/ It’s gonna get messy/ Just just bless me, bless me.”
Kanye and Kim, who finalized their divorce on November 22, also share Saint, 8; Chicago, 6; and Psalm, 4.
The rapper flew some of his children to the likes of Dubai and Italy on his previous travels last year but is now spending a lot of time with them back in Los Angeles.
“Ye has spent time with the children with and without their bodyguards and nannies recently and North especially loves that, she likes not having all that around,” the source continued.
“Kim and Ye have been getting along very well lately, they have put their toxic past behind them for the sake of their children.
“Kim had a very close relationship with her dad and despite Ye’s behavior and outbursts, she wants the kids to be close to him.
“It’s not ever going to be smooth sailing with someone like him, but there are no huge arguments or rants on social media, and things have shifted.”
The U.S. Sun has reached out to Kanye’s rep for comment but did not hear back.
