Ariana Grande is counting down the days until Wicked is released.

On Wednesday, the singer, 30, took to her Instagram Stories to tease fans by sharing a silhouette photo of herself as Glinda the Good Witch in the upcoming two-part film adaptation of the hit Broadway musical.

The snap showed Grande in costume, wearing her gown and tiara while holding a scepter in her hand.

The “thank u, next” hitmaker proved the countdown for the eagerly anticipated movies is officially on, as she stated that there’s only “nine months, 26 days [and] three hours” until the release of the first installment.

Grande also shared a fan photo on Instagram about it being “300 days until Wicked.”

The musician’s posts come after costar Cynthia Erivo, who plays Elphaba, took to Instagram on Friday to share a heartfelt message as filming came to a close.

“I’ve been trying to think of what I’d say when this day finally came, and I’m failing miserably, because honestly there aren’t enough words to fully express what this experience has meant to me, so I’ll leave you with this,” she wrote. “The universe will take things away to make space for the grand gifts it has waiting for us.”

“THIS moment, this film, these people, this cast, this crew, this director, my Glinda, were the grandest gift I could ever have asked for, and I am eternally grateful for the chance to bring you This Elphie,” Erivo, 37, added alongside a photo of her character’s shadow on a stage. “I hope when you meet her, you’ll love her as much and as fiercely as I do. And with that I say, that’s a wrap for me, Elphie out!! 💚💚💚.”

Grande also shared a funny video on TikTok, showing her and Erivo in a world of their own on the Wicked set.

In the clip, the actresses spoke to each other while sitting side-by-side. They seemed completely oblivious to the fact that someone was filming them just a few feet away.

As Grande and Erivo chatted, the person holding the camera could be heard saying: “They talk amongst themselves and don’t hear the world. Like, we could talk about them out loud, and they don’t even know what’s happening in the outside world.”

The pair finally noticed the camera, with a confused Grande asking, “What are you talking about?”

The actress captioned her post, “One of our favorite videos ever,” noting it was filmed in 2022 during rehearsals for the upcoming movies.

Wicked will be released in two installments, with Wicked: Part One set to debut in theaters on Nov. 27, 2024 and Wicked Part Two slated for Nov. 26, 2025.
