As the days dreadfully continue to get shorter and darker, Jennifer Lawrence is bringing some color and brightness to the New York City streets.
The No Hard Feelings actor dressed warmly for a Wednesday stroll through the West Village in colors that evoke a soft summer morning. Lawrence stepped out in a pastel yellow turtleneck sweater with fine ribbed details, white high-waisted pants that she cinched at the waist with a black leather belt by The Row, and a long camel coat by Toteme. She rounded off the look with her trusty olive green tote bag by Loewe, beige Adidas Samba sneakers, and square tortoise shell sunglasses. Lawrence styled her gold locks in the relaxed version of her famed character Katniss Everdeen’s signature side braid.
Last month, Lawrence traded summer hues for dark washes, sporting an outfit that served as a perfect lesson in fall layering. Dressed for an evening stroll with one-year-old son Cy, Lawrence wore a long black coat, black wide-leg trousers, a red hoodie, and a pair of black Adidas Sambas. She finished off the look by pulling a black ribbed beanie over her long blonde tresses and shielding her eyes with large oval sunglasses.
Lawrence has become known for her quietly sophisticated, minimalist looks—a style she has grown to own in the past few years.
“I think I started paying attention to fashion as soon as paparazzi started happening a few years ago,” Lawrence shared with Harper’s Bazaar in April 2016. “I was not ready. I was like, ‘What do I wear?’ I had to start paying attention. When I turned 25 it got easier because I know, ‘This is you, this is not you.’”
