Shakira is super busy being an international superstar and all, but sometimes she has to take a few moments to kick back and relax—as she should. This past week, the 46-year-old star was just spotted boating in Miami, getting her chill on and enjoying the sunshine in the coolest look.
Shakira was captured by photographers in and around a motorboat in a cute, purple swimsuit-and-shorts combo that highlighted her super-toned legs. The fringed swimsuit top also provided a little peek at her sculpted abs, too. The whole thing was *chef’s kiss*.
Here’s a peek at the photos in case you missed them. First, a shot of her on the dock:

Clearly, Shakira is super strong these days, so if you’re wondering, “How’d she get so strong?” I can assure you, you’re definitely not alone.
For starters, she’s a seriously energetic performer. Like, have you seen her dance? Here’s just a few snippets of some videos Shakira shared on social media:

And then there was this impressive move, which is a total thigh-burner:
When she wants a more structured workout, Shakira gets her sweat on with trainer Anna Kaiser (who also trains Kelly Ripa), and the two do up to six days a week of dance cardio workouts.
“Shakira is really focused on consistency with her workouts—the strength, the cardio, the stamina, the power, the flexibility, everything,” Kaiser told Vogue in 2020. That means doing 90-minute dance intervals that focus on cardio, strength, and vinyasa flows with few breaks in between.
Leading up to her 2020 Super Bowl performance (where Shakira performed with J.Lo), Kaiser told E! News that she adjusted Shakira’s workouts based on what she did in rehearsals. “Yesterday she had a really long dance rehearsal in the afternoon, so we just focused on an hour of pure strength in the morning,” Kaiser said. She also pointed out that, when Shakira spending a lot of her workday dancing, they’ll focus on strength training, high-intensity interval training (HIIT) circuits, and swimming.
Strength training, high-intensity interval training (HIIT) circuits, and swimming are all great options on a dance-heavy day, Kaiser added.
By the way, Shakira is super focused during her workouts, which shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone. “Kaiser doesn’t let me turn on my phone until I finish my workout and spend time with my kids,” Shakira shared in an Instagram video.
On the food front, Kaiser told E! News that Shakira is good about finding balance in her diet. “She’s good about it in general, but she will treat herself,” Kaiser said. “Balance is really important. Having those moments where you’re allowed to cheat every once in a while is also very important.”

Breakfast might be eggs or avocado with olive oil, tomato, sea salt, and a smoothie with berries, plant protein, and greens, Kaiser shared. Lunch could be fish and fresh vegetables or a salad with “lots of colors.” Dinner is also usually fish and some kind of vegetables. “It’s usually cold for lunch and warm for dinner,” Kaiser said.
Shakira, everyone!
