A young fan was overcome with emotion when she met Wonder Woman star Gal Gadot at this weekend’s San Diego Comic-Con. 

Ashley was dressed up as her idol, Wonder Woman, when she walked up to Gadot during an autograph session and immediately burst into tears. In a video that’s going viral on Twitter, Gadot tells Ashley: “There’s no reason to cry. Here we are together.”

Even Gadot’s Justice League co-stars Ezra Miller and Ben Affleck were touched by Ashley’s emotional response to meeting her favourite superhero. Miller even tells her, “You’re a warrior. Your ability to cry is what makes you such a warrior. Come join the Justice League whenever you get ready.”

Ashley’s mom later took to Facebook to say, “These characters matter and can have a huge influence on young people. What a great role model and genuine, nice person. My daughter will always remember this moment for the rest of her life. Thank you, Gal Gadot!”
