The video captures the heart-pounding moment when the men dash away in fear. The panic is so intense that one of them even drops his mobile phone in haste to escape.
Ignoring the fallen device, the men prioritize their safety and flee from the charging elephants. Unfortunately, the video ends abruptly, leaving the aftermath uncertain.
Addressing the incident, the IFS officer remarked, “For having a selfie, they not only do foolish things but do them with enthusiasm.”
Twitter users have responded vehemently, condemning the men’s actions as “atrocious” and “foolish.”
Calls for legal repercussions against the individuals who invaded the elephants’ habitat have surfaced, with criticisms also directed at forest guards’ apparent lack of vigilance.
