Megan Fox Wore a $16 Foundation at the Kardashian-Jenner Holiday Party ‎

I enjoyed spending the holidays with my family in Ohio this year; had I received an invitation to the Kardashian-Jenner Christmas Eve Party, however, I may have sent my regrets and jetted off to California. Attendees included the likes of Megan Fox, who looked objectively radiant, thanks in part to a surprisingly affordable combination of beauty products from Colourpop.

Celebrity makeup artist Jenna Kristina, who has worked extensively with the actor in the past, created a dazzling makeup look, which she dubbed ”both playful and chic.” In addition to newly launched eyeshadows from the brand, Krisitna applied its Hyaluronic Hydrating Foundation, “to create a flawless, glowy complexion,” per a press release. The foundation, she noted, “goes on effortlessly and provides the perfect glow.” Need pictorial proof? Peep the final look via Instagram.

The Colourpop Pretty Fresh Hyaluronic Hydrating Foundation is a moisturizing face makeup with a skin-like, natural-matte finish. The liquid formula boasts buildability, and resists caking or settling into fine lines throughout the day. Available in 42 shades, it offers a variety of tones to suit virtually any complexion.

As its name implies, hyaluronic acid stars as a key ingredient in the formula. The hydrating molecule, which is often found in plumping moisturizers and serums, is a humectant; in other words, it attracts moisture from the surrounding air into skin and, subsequently, delivers an almost instant dose of dewiness.

For this reason, Colourpop’s foundation is perfect for dry skin types; it’s also ideal for mature skin, given hyaluronic acid’s ability to plump the appearance of fine lines (which are exacerbated by dehydration) in mere moments post-application.

ICYMI: Colourpop is lauded for its truly high quality formulas, which rival the likes of much pricier picks, in feel, finish, and weartime. InStyle editors swear by its high-coverage hydrating concealer, for instance — as does Fox’s makeup artist, who used the $6 formula to brighten and hydrate the actor’s under eye area for her aforementioned holiday look.

As for Fox’s foundation, shoppers report a “soft, very natural,” and flattering “matte” appearance. According to one fan, who has tried numerous “high end” foundations, Colourpop’s “looks natural, not cakey,” more so than most. Similarly, another shopper says the formula “melts into the skin,” and “disappears” in a manner that “looks incredibly skin-like.” Furthermore, they add, it “[covers] redness and pigmentation.” Finally, while “most foundations tend to settle into… frown lines and smile lines,” Colourpop’s “miraculously does not migrate into creases,” they wrote.
