      THE BIGGER PICTURE

Barca and Madrid met in last year’s final, where the Blaugrana got the better of Los Blancos, running out 3-1 winners. Carlo Ancelotti’s have enjoyed more luck recently, though, winning the last two competitive Clasicos, and they will hope to make it a hat-trick.

    • WHAT XAVI SAID

The Barca manager backed his side to defend their Supercopa title: “I think that in the league Clasico, we dominated most of the match. I can compare it to last season’s final. I think that we can dominate them and win.”
