There is no doubt that Gal Gadot is the epitome of girl power. She is playing the ultimate female superhero in the summer blockbuster, Wonder Woman, and she’s kicked off the film’s press tour with a major style move: trading her high heels for flats. This past week, the 32-year-old actress has been traveling alongside her Wonder Woman co-stars, Chris Pine and Robin Wright, to promote the movie, hitting theaters June 2, wearing several eye-catching outfits, each topped off with a pair of killer flats.
While in NYC on Tuesday, Gadot made an appearance on Good Morning America wearing a chic cobalt blue knit peplum top and matching skirt (both Diane von Furstenberg). She opted for a pair of embellished peep-toe black flats to add a pop of sparkle against the monochromatic two-piece and to match her bold black manicure.

Later in the day Gadot was seen arriving to the AOL Live offices in Soho, looking stunning once again in a different pair of black flats. The pointy shoes added a level of sophistication to her girly ensemble, which included a blush pink dress featuring feminine pleats, plus beachy waves that complemented her soft makeup. For the AOL Build Series, she switched back into her embellished peep toe flats and showed off her incredible physique in a long-sleeved white mini dress by A.L.C.
And it doesn’t stop there! Gadot turned heads on Thursday at the Wonder Woman Hollywood premiere in a stunning red, sequin gown by Givenchy that she paired with…you guessed it: flats!
The star’s gold thong sandals from Aldo cost only $50 and kept her comfortable all night long as she celebrated her film. And when asked why she’s ditched her high-heels, Galdot gave an answer all women can agree on: “It’s more comfortable. That’s it!”

Gadot’s wonder woman fashion move follows the controversial ‘no flats’ rule at this week’s Cannes Film Festival that has sparked some uproar against the double standard for men’s and women’s red-carpet attire. Gadot’s choice to rock flats is a smart move for comfort and convenience and also shines light on the fact that women shouldn’t have to wear high heels to feel put-together, confident, or sexy. The Israeli-born actress is truly embodying her strong superhero character!
