The Real Madrid players have just received their new BMW. Jude Bellingham, Rodrygo, and several other players chose the most expensive of them all: the BMW XM. It must be for the 644 horsepower and for how quick it is when they’re late for practice.
The BMW XM starts at 177,000 euros in Spain and has an MRSP of $159,000 on the American market. That is what English midfielder Jude Bellingham and Brazilian Rodrygo chose from the sponsor.
Los Galácticos received their new BMWs during an event organized by the soccer club’s official sponsor, that took place at the Real Madrid City in the capital of Spain. These are the cars that they will have to drive for all official Real Madrid-related events, no matter how expensive that Rolls-Royce or that Bentley that they have back home is.
BMW came up with four models that the players, coach, and president could choose from: the BMW i4, i7, iX, and XM. The most popular of them all was also the most expensive of them all: the XM electrified crossover, which starts at almost 180,000 euros in Spain and other European markets.
Jude Bellingham, Rodrygo, Kepa, Carvajal, and Courtois were some of the players who drove their XM home. And they have every reason to do it. The XM is powered by the TwinPower Turbo 4.4-liter V8, which works alongside an electric motor for a total of 644 horsepower (653 PS) and 590 lb-ft (800 Nm) of torque via an eight-speed automatic transmission with Steptronic manual shift mode.

If they are late for training, they know for sure that they can count on the XM. The car flashes from 0 to 60 mph (0-97 kph) in 4.1 seconds. And for those moments when they want to go green, they can do that as well. The XM can drive for up to 30 miles (48 kilometers) on electric power only due to the 25.7-kWh battery.
Seven others, Vinicius and Lucas Vazquez included, went for the i4 sedan. That is what coach Carlo Ancelotti also cost. The range-topping version, which is what they chose, is the i4 M50 Gran Coupe with 544 horsepower (536 PS) and 586 lb-ft (795 Nm) for a run from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.3 seconds.
The iX was selected by seven other players, with David Alaba and Luka Modric having one each. Therefore, they are getting 516 horsepower (523 PS) and 564 lb-ft (765 Nm). The car needs 4.1 seconds to hit 60 mph (97 kph) from a standstill, while top speed is rated at 124 mph (200 kph).
Nacho was the only player who went for the BMW i7 sedan in the xDrive60 configuration. He made the same choice as club president Florentino Perez. Two electric motors operate for a total of 536 horsepower (544 PS) and 549 lb-ft (745 Nm). The one-speed automatic transmission and the xDrive system transfer resources to all four wheels. 4.5 seconds it takes to go reach 60 mph from 0.
Los Galácticos received the new BMWs based on a sponsorship deal that Real Madrid signed with the premium German carmaker back in July 2022. Before this deal, the Spanish soccer club put an end to a 19-year contract with Audi.
