Emma Watson‘s brother Alex has revealed what it is really like working with his famous sibling.
Former model and actor Alex, 30, set up a gin business called Renais in early 2023 with the Harry Potter star, 33.
The gin is made from upcycling grapes from vineyards – including their father Chris’s in France.
Alex has now told in a new interview that because they are brother and sister they are more ‘capable of pushing each other’s buttons’.
He told HELLO!: ‘Ems and I are very close. We’re hugely supportive of each other, mostly I try to give her reasons to laugh. I think we were both looking for a new challenge and thought we’d make a great team, and here we are.

‘There’s a deep level of trust and understanding that goes on [building a brand with family]. With that comes a level of stability which is great.
‘On the flip side, we’re still brother and sister and are more than capable of pushing each other’s buttons. Working with a family member is great – although you have to fight for the space to keep your relationships outside of business which is the challenge.’
In July, Emma and Alex also joined forces to launch the gin brand which is inspired by their family trips to the vineyard in France during their childhood.
She said in a statement: ‘To me, Renais is a family project, not only does the Chablis region evoke very special memories of growing up, I’ve loved having the opportunity to create something with my brother Alex.
‘I’m particularly proud of upcycling grapes from vineyards (including my dad’s) to reduce waste and create something new, being one of the only gins on the market using mushroom packaging, and our carbon-neutral product status.
‘We will continue to challenge ourselves as much as possible here because this is such a passion of mine.’
Emma has previously gushed about her close relationship with her brother, crediting him as someone who helped her ‘find the most challenging things, with time, incredibly funny.’

Emma is thought to have been single since ending her romance with Sir Philip Green’s son Brandon earlier this year.
She has dated Made In Chelsea’s Francis Boulle, Spanish musician Rafael Cebrian and fellow Oxford graduate Will Adamowicz. But none have lasted.
Emma has become one of Hollywood’s highest-paid actresses. Starring roles in Beauty And The Beast and in Greta Gerwig’s Little Women have cemented her career beyond her iconic role as Hermione in the Harry Potter franchise.
But she has also become known for her outspoken views on feminism and politics – pitting herself against J.K. Rowling by openly backing trans rights.
