The WItcher star Henry Cavill has said his pet dog Kal is his best friend who has ‘saved his emotional and psychological bacon many times.’
Appearing on Lorraine on Monday, the Superman star, 38, brought the American Akita breed along with him and spoke about their ‘inseparable bond.’
He said: ‘He really is my best friend, we go everywhere together.’

He said: He [Kal] kind of gets it. He senses it when I’ve got my own stuff on, he’ll be close – he’s almost always close, but he’ll be closer’
He continued, ‘He’s eight now and he has saved my emotional and psychological bacon plenty of times. We have an incredibly close bond’.

Lorraine also probed Henry about his reputation of be Mr. Nice Guy on set and the Man From U.N.C.L.E star revealed explained that he says hello to everyone in the cast and crew before shooting begins.

Adding, ‘It doesn’t delay the day. Everyone feels like a human.’ It’s not the first time the actor has let Kal accompany him on days out.
Kal was recently pictured the star at the Netflix season 2 premiere of the hit TV series The Witcher.
The actor ensured his furry friend wouldn’t miss out on the event and was seen bundling Kai into the back of the car on his way to the premiere.

Lorraine then went on to probe the Justice League actor about the rumours circling him about becoming the next James bond.
The morning show host even suggested that he could be the first 007 with a dog.
Laughing the star answered ‘bond is already stretching belied when it comes to him being a spy, so having this lugged around me as well, if i was trying to keep a low profile, it’s ruined with him.
Lorraine then went on to ask the Jersey born stare about his time as Superman and cheekily asked him if he still had his costume.
Smiling he answered ‘That was so much fun. It’s the kind of thing where, even though it’s been so long since I’ve put the suit on professionally, it does [still fit], thankfully.’

‘Even if I were to stop acting tomorrow and go and live on a yacht or a sailing boat and travel with Kal – I don’t know how much he’d appreciate that to be honest but I’d give it a shot.’

When asked if he is in the running to be the next James Bond, he admitted, ‘I would definitely have a conversation.’
‘From what I understand there are very early conversations happening at the top but there is no list as such.’
