ESPN’s Stephen A Smith has accused all 32 teams in the National Football League of colluding against the Sanders family following the unexpected events stemming from the 2025 NFL Draft.
Things certainly didn’t go the way Deion Sanders and his sons thought they would, and they were hardly the only ones surprised by how far Shedeur slipped, given the projections.
The quarterback received the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award for 2024 and was named the Big 12 Offensive Player of the Year, earning All-Big 12 honors, while several publications vaunted him as a First-Team All-American.
The Associated Press recognized him as a Second-Team All-American.

Despite the above, Shedeur slipped all the way into the fifth round of the draft, and Stephen A is questioning why all 32 teams chose to pass on him in four rounds before the Cleveland Browns selected him.
Check him out in the video below:
“if the players dad went and said we only playin for who we want and essentially would pull a ” eli manning ” and the player comes in acting like he can tell me how to run the program, i probably wouldn’t draft him either,” one fan suggested.
“So you think that 32 teams saw an opportunity to upgrade their franchise and said, “nah, let’s send a message to Prime”,” another wrote.
Stephen A Smith did acknowledge that Coach Prime and Shedeur Sanders bot got their hands dirty and were not blameless, but he clearly believes that the slip had absolutely nothing to do with talent.
