Sergio and Jorge Ramalheiro, a pair of twin brothers who are working as bodyguards for Cristiano Ronaldo and his family in Manchester, were suddenly included in the investigation file of the Portuguese police agency. As revealed by Observador newspaper, both were accused of providing illegal security services in their home country.
Sergio and Jorge were part of an elite force in Afghanistan before returning to Portugal to join the PSP special operations unit, which specializes in escorting politicians and judges. Deciding to take unpaid leave from PSP to pursue other interests, the two brothers joined Ronaldo’s bodyguard team.
If found guilty, the Ramalheiro brothers will face disciplinary proceedings from the PSP. “We do not comment on cases under investigation,” a PSP spokesperson said in an interview with the media.
