BREAKING: Gymnast Gabby Douglas Opens Up on “Constantly Being Bullied” Over Simone Biles Comparisons

Olympian Gabby Douglas is opening up about being bullied by gymnastics fans who compare her to Simone biles.

Gabby and Simone competed together at the 2016 Rio Olympics.

Gabby made history at the 2012 Olympic Games in London, becoming both the first American to claim gold medals in the team and individual all-around events and the first African-American to win the all-around title.

But despite making history, Gabby says she’s consistently bullied by fans and now she’s calling them out on social media.

One fan posted a Tik Tok on July 31st criticizing how the public has seemed to forget about Gabby now that Simone biles, who’s an olympic record breaker, is the face of women’s gymnastics.

The social media user says in the clip quote: y’all dropped her like a bad habit when Simone bils came on the scene.

She continues: Gabby Douglas used to be the greatest Olympic gymnast, and then Here Comes Simone viales.

Nobody cares about Gabby Douglas anymore.

She adds: quote: when was the last time you thought about Gabby Douglas?

Well, Gabby responds on August 6th in the comment section.

Quote: that’s okay.

Constantly being bullied is very tiring and wearing on me.

She adds qu

I just want to live my life and be at peace.

Thanks for the love definitely needed in this world.

Gabby took a step back from competing in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

In June, Gabby took to Instagram to explain an injury forced her to withdraw from the Paris Olympics.

But not everyone has seemingly forgotten about Gabby.

Simone previously spoke about how seeing Gabby taking home the gold in 201: 12 inspired her.

She tells Vogue in 2020 quote: growing up, I didn’t see very many black gymnasts, so whenever I did, I felt really inspired to go out there and want to be as good as them.

I remember watching Gabby Douglas win the 2012 Olympics

And I was like, if she can do it, I can do it.

Simone has dominated the 2024 Olympics winning three gold medals and one silver medal, bringing her total Olympic medal count to 11, the most decorated gymnast of all time.
