Cristiano Ronaldo has won plenty of individual awards and trophies in his glittering career and even though he moved to Saudi Arabia, he remains one of the biggest sports stars in the world.
Recently, he visited his newly inaugurated CR7 Signature Museum in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia yet that is not his only museum.
Since 2013, hundreds of thousands of fans have been visiting his Museu CR7 in the Portugal captain’s home city of Funchal.
Located on the scenic island of Madeira in Portugal, the CR7 Museum in Funchal celebrates Ronaldo’s incredible achievements on the pitch.
The museum not only has some of the hardware the 38-year-old has received in his 20-year career, including Ballon d’Or awards and trophies, but also offers visitors a chance to learn about his beginnings and his incredible rise to superstardom.
Other pieces of memorabilia one can find inside the museum are some of the jerseys from his journey from Sporting Lisbon to Al-Nassr, game-worn gloves, and boots.
Just outside the museum, there’s a giant bronze statue that has a plaque that reads Melhor Jogador Do Mundo – translated as ‘Best Player In The World’, per the Guardian. Lionel Messi fans would disagree with that.
There’s also a bronze statue of Ronaldo with a Portugal jersey inside.
